A look into Tagger's Profile Filters in the Discovery Platform

Updated over a week ago

Select "Profile" within the group of filters after entering Discovery. Filters in this section focus on the following details contained within Tagger Profiles:

Profile Type

In Tagger, Profiles exist as either an "Individual" or a "Brand." Tagger defines an Individual as a Creator capable of promoting a brand's product. In contrast, Brands are Profiles with a product or service that Individuals can market.

Selecting Multiple Categories

Although Tagger only displays one Category per Profile, Profiles can be mapped to multiple categories.

Use more than one Category to search in Discovery, broadening the search to include Profiles under all selected Categories; this is considered an "OR" function.

ℹ️ OR Functionality ℹ️

All Profiles displayed can be mapped to just one of the selected categories.

Change "OR" functionality to "AND" functionality. Select multiple categories to populate an AND/OR dropdown to appear. "AND" functionality will narrow the search to include only Profiles with signals that map to all Categories in the given search.

ℹ️ AND Functionality ℹ️

All Profiles displayed can be mapped to every Category selected.

Please note, due to the difference in nature of Individual and Brand Profiles; there will be different Category selections for each.

Gender

The Gender toggle allows users to search for Profiles assigned a specific gender. This filter is a toggle that will enable users to hone in on a particular gender while defaulting to include all genders.

Location

The Location Profile filter allows users to search for Profiles that reside in a specific location. Choose from areas as large as Country values to as small as City values.

Start by typing the desired city, state, or country into the Location box. A dropdown menu will auto-fill the available options, allowing users to select the desired location or locations accurately.

This filter comes in a multi-select dropdown with "OR" functionality, meaning users can add more than one location value, broadening the search to include Profiles with all selected Location inputs.

Affinity

Affinity data is a proprietary metric used to accomplish two tasks: find and display look-alike profiles, and determine a profile's Category or interest.

Affinities allow users to easily find similar Profiles by analyzing the overlap of mentions, hashtags, and keywords among influencer Profiles. If a high overlap occurs within these data points, the two Profiles are assumed to be talking about the same topics and, therefore, deemed similar; for more articles on Tagger Affinities, head here.

Type the name of a Brand or Creator into the search bar to populate similar Profiles.

Multiple Profiles can be added to the Affinity search feature, resulting in a search using "AND' functionality, which means all Profiles displayed map to the selected Profiles.

Please note that users can switch to "OR" functionality by selecting "Search Options," which will populate once more when a Creator is chosen in the Affinity section.

Brand Safety

The Brand Safety Filter is a toggle selection that filters out Profiles that have used specific keywords in their content. When turned on, Tagger will exclude these Profiles from Discovery Search.

Explicit keywords, including racial slurs, sexual phrases, and curse words, are included in this list.

Should any questions regarding brand safety arise, reach out to your designated Customer Success Manager for more information.

Custom Fields

The final Filter in the Profile section of Discovery is Custom Fields. Custom Fields are opportunities for Organizations to collect specific information about Creators. Please note that only Organization Admins can create Custom Fields and are proprietary to the user's Organization.

Select the desired Custom Field to use as a search parameter, then fill out the following fields to filter Profiles. The fields available will depend on the type of Custom Field selected. The list below breaks down the search parameters for each type of Custom Field:

  • Small Textbox: Filter by text in this field using the "Text Includes" feature.

  • Large Textbox: Filter by text in this field using the "Text includes" feature.

  • Attachment: A toggle indicates whether a file is uploaded.

    • Profiles with a file uploaded for the selected field populate in search results.

  • Dropdown: This allows users to select one value determined by the Organization's Admin and then shows all Profiles with this value in the selected Profile Custom Field as the results.

  • Multi-Select Dropdown: The value options will appear, allowing users to select one or more values. Profiles with selected value(s) housed within them will populate in the search results.

  • Number: Two value boxes will appear, one "From" value and one "To" value. This filter allows users to search for Profiles with a number in the specified field falling within a specified range:

    • The "From" field sets the floor, or the smallest number included in the range.

    • The "To" field sets the ceiling or highest number included in the range.

  • Date: Two date value boxes will appear, one "From" value and one "To" value. This filter allows users to search for dates falling within a specified range:

    • "From" sets the floor or earliest date of this range.

    • "To" sets the ceiling or latest date of this range.

    • All Profiles with a date value falling within these parameters can be found in the current search.

Please note that users can add multiple Custom Field filters in Discovery. To add various filters, select "+ Add Another."

Please navigate to Custom Fields to learn more about Custom Fields and their creation.
