Discovery is used differently by every Tagger user, which is, in part, due to the hundreds of filters available. Discovery has five filter groups: Platforms, Audience, Profile, Keywords, and More Filters.
Jump to:
Filters found in 'Audience' apply to the Creator's social media followers or subscribers. To view the filters within this section, go to Discovery and select "Audience."
Platform
The first selection within 'Audience' is the platform. This filter enables users to search for platform-specific demographics. When 'Default' is selected, the logic is as follows:
If a Profile has Instagram demographics available, they will be the default shown within the search.
If a Profile does not have Instagram but has TikTok Demographics, they will be the default shown within the search.
If a profile does not have Instagram and TikTok, Twitter Demographics will be the default shown within the search.
If a profile does not have Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, YouTube Demographics will be the default shown within the search.
Use the dropdown menu to select one of the available social platforms manually. Doing so will narrow the search to demographics specific to the chosen platform.
Best Match
Toggle on 'Best Match' to simplify audience demographic filters. Doing so strips away threshold capabilities. Once demographic specifications are entered, Best Match sorts Profiles according to the most substantial concentration of those specifications.
Slide the toggle on and choose from any four demographic categories to use Best Match.
Gender
Age
Race
Language
Please note that the results show the Profiles with high values in all demographic input areas.
Gender
Search for Profiles using the gender slider. This filter considers the gender make-up of the Creator's audience. Use the slider or the text box to create a minimum threshold for either male or female.
For example, the screenshot below displays a search for Profiles with at least 80% of their Instagram audience consisting of females.
Age
There are two ways to search for Profiles based on the age of their audience:
Manual: Select various age groups to create custom age ranges, setting minimum thresholds for those age ranges.
LDA: This stands for "Legal Drinking Age" compliant.
HFSS: This is "High in Fat, Sugar, or Salt" compliant.
Location
Search Profiles based on the location of their audience. Type in the desired location, then set the minimum threshold. Search by country, city, U.S. State, Canadian Province, or Brazilian State in this section.
The search outlined below produces Profiles whose audiences are at least 45% of people between 18 and 24, with at least 25% of the residents residing in London.
Language
Search for Profiles based on the language spoken by their audience. First, choose the 35 languages Tagger currently supports, then set a custom minimum threshold. The screenshot below displays a search for Profiles with an audience of at least 30% Portuguese-speaking individuals.
Race
Search for Profiles based on the race of their audience. Tagger's race data is derived using U.S. audience members only, which means it is not representative of a Profile's global audience.
Choose from any of the races for which Tagger offers demographic data, then set minimum thresholds using the slider bar or value box.
Demographic Similarities
Search for demographic similarities based on another Tagger Profile's demographics. Search for and select a Profile in the popup window to find Profiles with the most similar audience demographics.
In the example above, We selected the Los Angeles Lakers Profile. As a result, Discovery Searches show Profiles with audiences similar to that of the audience of the Los Angeles Lakers.
