How to Create a Template

Create a template in Tagger's Report Builder solution

Updated over a week ago

Users have the ability to utilize Tagger’s Report Builder to create custom Profile Reports. To access the Profile Report Builder screen, simply select the Report Builder icon.

Step 1 -

The user has several options as a starting point:

  1. Start with a blank report

  2. Create a new Template

  3. Select one of the provided Tagger Templates.

We will start with the second option, of creating a new Template.

Step 2-

Within this section we will highlight the process of creating a new Report from scratch. Once you are in this blank report, you can start by filling in Tagger Profile information, About materials, Audience metrics, Content, and a Custom text box or image. This can all be found on the left hand side of this report, underneath the Library section.

Step 3- Icon Key

Let’s highlight the different icons users will encounter within Report Builder:

  • The trash icon allows a user to delete the specified item or page

  • The pencil icon allows a user to edit the specified window. This icon plays a significant role in not only the format of the data, but the selection of the metrics the user wishes to display. When a user clicks on this icon, a page that hones in on all specific metrics for that window will appear such as the one displayed to the right:

  • The duplicate icon allows for a user to create an exact copy of the window or page that the user has selected. When this button is selected on the page level, the page that will be reproduced is the final page of the report.

  • The lock icon allows for a user to lock a window in place so that when they are reformatting the report by dragging windows, the specified window remains in place.

All of these icons, with the exception of the lock icon, appear in multiple places. As mentioned in their description, the icons can either be found at the bottom of a Report Page, or when hovering over a metric window.

Step 4- Settings View

Perhaps the Content in your Report has a distinct theme or color scheme that you would like to be reflected in the rest of the Report such as the one displayed above. In the Settings view, users are given the ability to do so by changing aspects such as color schemes and fonts. Choose from a selection of pre-baked colors, or visit this website to customize your color! After creating the desired color, simply copy the HEX code and paste it in front of a “#”.

Overview

Templates can be edited or removed at any point by hovering over the desired Template, selecting the ellipse in the bottom right corner of the Template card, and selecting either “Edit” or “Remove”. Please note, Tagger Default Templates cannot be edited or removed.

With the ability to adjust the report in any way they please, the user can add or delete features, change the format, and include any of the wide array of metrics that Tagger offers. Some of the metrics that the user may choose from include audience demographic metrics, content health metrics, and affinity data.
