The Connections Component can be turned off or on in Org or Campaign Settings and visualizes whether or not a specific Creator has their YouTube or Instagram account authenticated.

Connections allow users to monitor and manage the level of a Creator’s Opt-In status relative to:

  • Connection status of Instagram Insights, as well as access to relevant metrics of Instagram Content

  • Connection status of YouTube Insights

  • TikTok Creator Marketplace Status

Select 'View' for a more detailed look at which data points or content types are available at the Creator's current authentication status:

View the Connections to easily message opt-ins and make requests to Creators to establish or refresh any missing or expired Connections.

Select 'Request' to auto-populates a message that uses one of Tagger's Message Templates. This is sent to the Creator requesting they connect their Instagram, Youtube, or TikTok. Please note that Message Templates may be customized for a Campaign (or the whole Organization) in the Message Templates sections in Settings.

Select 'Send Invitation' to send an invitation for the Creator to join the TikTok Marketplace or access the TikTok Campaign Code. For more information on the TikTok Creator Marketplace, head here.

Invite Creators to Tagger

Easily invite a Creator to Opt-In or Authenticate to Tagger by selecting 'Invite to Tagger.' Doing so auto-populates a message that invites the Creator to Opt-In by following the Tagger Creator Portal link. Please note: The message still needs to be sent by the user after being populated into the message editor (second screen below).

In Message Templates settings, such templates can be customized or overridden for a Campaign or whole Organization.

🚨 Tagger Tip 🚨

Invite to Tagger only appears in Connections if the Creator has not opted-in or authenticated to Tagger.

Connections in Other Locations

  • Connections are easily trackable in the Campaign Dashboard.

  • There are two columns in the Creators List View related to Connections - one for Instagram Insights and another one for YouTube Connection.

  • Adding Insights Connection filter by clicking +Add Filters

Missing Connections

Users are notified with a warning if any of a Creator’s Connections are missing. This ensures that Creator's content and metrics included within those connections are correctly identified for Campaigns.

Other Connection Statuses

  • Invalidated Connection: (red) the account has been connected in the past, but it has been invalidated by Facebook - Instagram tokens expiration and invalidation

  • Expired Connection: (red) the account has been connected in the past, but the connection has expired (natural process on the Facebook side)

  • Not Connected: (grey) the account has never been connected

  • Connected: (green) the account is connected and Tagger is pulling insights
